Hoskins scored 20 goals for Bristol Rovers last season

Brighton's victory away to Cardiff City will give them a confidence boost, says striker Will Hoskins.

The Seagulls won 3-1 in Wales on Wednesday to make it three wins from three in the Championship.

The 25-year-old told BBC Sussex: "We went out with our own style of play and we've shown what we can do. It was a great performance.

"If there was anything that could give us a push and belief it was beating Cardiff. We need to keep doing that."

The former Watford and Bristol Rovers forward, who missed the start of the season with a hip injury, came off the bench to score on his debut for the Albion.

"I've never really had an injury in the last four years that has kept me out," Hoskins added.

"It has been hard with the start of the season and everyone into their flow.

"I thoroughly enjoyed getting on the pitch and to get the goal topped it all off. It will settle me in."
