Brighton and Hove Albion sign goalkeeper Michael Poke
Poke spent all of last season on loan at League Two Torquay
Brighton and Hove Albion have signed Southampton goalkeeper Michael Poke on a one-year deal.
The 24-year-old will join the League One side on July 1 after signing a pre-contract agreement.
He said: "I want to come here and play every game but any club you go to there are keepers fighting it out for the number one jersey.
"I just want to get somewhere where I can push for a place and play first team football."
Poke has made four first team appearances since joining the Saints as a trainee in 2004, and has had loan spells with Oldham, Northampton, Woking and Torquay.
Seagulls boss Gus Poyet added: "He will come here to challenge for the number one spot, and that is the type of player we want - one who will be challenging for a starting place every week."
Poke will face competition from Peter Brezovan and Mitch Walker for Albion's goalkeeping jersey.
