Inigo Calderon calls for Brighton and Hove Albion focus
Calderon joined Brighton in January after a spell on trial.
Defender Inigo Calderon says Brighton must maintain their focus to avoid relegation after ending their winless run in League One.
The Seagulls secured their first win in seven games by beating Charlton Athletic 2-1.
The Spanish right-back told BBC Sussex: "The last games we played really good but the results haven't been the same.
"I think we have to take more points in the table. We have to stay focused because that's important."
Calderon scored his first goal for the club in the victory over Charlton.
He said: "I'm very happy about that. It's something for the fans. the stands were full on a week day - it's incredible. But the most important thing is the three points."
The 28-year-old signed in the January transfer window after leaving Spanish outfit Deportivo Alaves in the summer.
Manager Gus Poyet added: "Calde has been outstanding. It's important for a new player to come and settle. Everyone likes him, he's been performing and he really cares for the club."
