Brighton climbed out of the League One relegation zone with a surprise win away at promotion-chasing Charlton.
Akpo Sodje and Therry Racon had shots cleared off the line for the hosts before Brighton went ahead, Inigo Calderon firing in from 20 yards.
Tommy Elphick's denied David Mooney a goal before Elliott Bennett drove in a second from 25 yards.
Sodje struck a consolation for the Addicks in stoppage time, but Charlton were booed off by the home fans.
Brighton and Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet told BBC Sussex: "It is very difficult to say but I was feeling a bit fed up. You cannot go all the way and always perform and do quite well and every time a problem.
"It was important to get this result. The players made me really proud on the bench.
"It was practically perfect, except for the last goal."
