Dickinson backs Albion response

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton striker Liam Dickinson is confident that his side can turn around their poor start to the season.

Albion have drawn one and lost three games during the campaign so far, including a 7-1 mauling at the hands of Huddersfield.

The side have also picked up three red cards in the last two games.

Dickinson told BBC Sussex: "We've been unfortunate with the sending-offs, but there's massive room for improvement, especially in defence."

"I think we've got so much potential there with the likes of Elphick and Sunnicliffe."

"They are players who can play at a higher level than this but at the moment something's just not clicking ."

And Dickinson also played down his second goal in two games.

"I've got to just get on with it and try and score as many goals as possible. It doesn't mean as much to me when they're on the side of a defeat but to me a goal is a goal and I just need to concentrate on hitting the net."
