Gateshead eased past high-flying Crawley Town to secure their first win of the season.
Kris Gate scored from close range to put the visitors ahead and then won a penalty, which Martin Brittain scored.
Brittain added a second from the spot to make it 3-0 at the break after Simon Rusk fouled Wayne Phillips.
Crawley managed a consolation when Rusk shot from long range, only for Graeme Armstrong to add a fourth from close range for Gateshead.
