Brighton have taken three players on trial, including former England international striker Michael Ricketts.
The 30-year-old is joined by former Seagulls left-back Dan Harding, who was released by Ipswich in May, and ex-Millwall midfielder Danny Spiller.
Former Bolton striker Ricketts was released by Walsall, where he also started his career, this summer and trained with Albion on Monday.
Ricketts won one England cap in a friendly against Holland in 2002.
