Brighton and Dixon part company

Brighton & Hove Albion

Striker Jonny Dixon has left Brighton by mutual consent after agreeing a financial settlement with the club.

The 25-year-old joined the Seagulls in January 2008 from Aldershot Town for £56,000 but has struggled to break into Russell Slade's first team.

He has started only two games and made just three substitute appearances since making the move to Withdean Stadium.

Last season he spent time on loan at Blue Square Premier side Grays Athletic, making four appearances.
