Gary Dicker has played over 60 games for Stockport
New Brighton boss Russell Slade has made his first signing by bringing in Stockport County midfielder Gary Dicker on loan until the end of the season.
Dicker, 22, who has represented Ireland at Under-21 level, first arrived in English football in 2007 when signed by Birmingham City on a six-month deal.
Albion chairman Dick Knight said: "He's calm, commanding, and plays a pass.
"We have been aware of Gary's quality since we were watching Jim McNulty earlier in the season."
Dicker will link up on Friday with his Albion team-mates, including former Stockport team-mate McNulty, who signed for Brighton on the last deadline day on 2 February.
And he is available for the relegation-haunted Seagulls in Saturday's clash at home to Tranmere Rovers (1500 GMT).
