Brighton have signed utility player David Livermore from Hull City on a two-year contract.
Livermore, 28, can play at left-back or in central midfield and is the club's fourth signing of the summer.
He told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "I know I can play in the Championship. That was a big part of my meeting with the gaffer.
"He believes he's a Championship manager and I echo that with my own ambition for my career."
Livermore spent part of last season on loan at Brighton's League One rivals Oldham Athletic.
