Oldham have signed Hull City midfielder David Livermore on a month's loan. The 27-year-old has been a regular starter for the Tigers this season, scoring once in 23 appearances, but has been deemed surplus to requirements.
Livermore's arrival at Boundary Park comes as the Latics extended Preston midfielder Jason Jarrett's loan until the end of the season.
But Oldham have seen deals to sign Liverpool striker Besian Idrizaj and Hartlepool's Ian Moore fall through.
Idrizaj, aged 20, had agreed to a move following talks with the Latics, but he has now completed a transfer to Austrian side Wacker Tirol.
The move for Moore also collapsed before a medical could be completed.
Meanwhile, the Latics have cancelled the contract of striker Michael Ricketts by mutual consent.
