Reading striker Tony Rougier has joined Brighton on a month's loan.

Since the arrival of Luke Chadwick and Steve Sidwell, Rougier's first-team opportunities have been limited.

"Anthony is a player I've watched for a number of years and I've always had the feeling that he's a player who can influence a game," Brighton manger Steve Coppell told the Reading website.

"He's a little bit of 'something else' - with suspensions to Zamora and Hart and injury to Paul Kitson there's not many options so I'm pleased with what Tony will bring us.
