| Tuesday, 11 February, 2003, 23:19 GMT Southend retain Marney Southend have extended the loan spell of Brighton youngster Daniel Marney for a further month. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has made six appearances during his first four-week stint. "Daniel has done well since joining, and it's good news we've been able to secure his services for a further month," Shrimpers boss Rob Newman told the club website: Earlier in the season the 21-year-old Marney had been a regular under former Brighton boss Martin Hinshelwood. But he has been unable to break into the first team since the arrival of current manager Steve Coppell. |
