Brentford manager Andy Scott is planning further moves in the transfer market this summer.
Scott has so far brought in six new players to the League Two champions ahead of their return to League One.
He told BBC London 94.9: "Hopefully [we will sign] two or three. We've got better strength in depth in all areas."
Former Reading defender Alan Bennett, who spent last season on loan at Griffin Park, has joined the club for pre-season training.
The Republic of Ireland cap has told Brentford he will make a decision on whether he will join the club permanently by the end of July.
In the meantime, Scott says he will work with his current set of players to bring out the best in them.
"We've still a lot of work to do with all the lads here and we're saying the same things this year that we said last year in certain areas," he said.
"That's the case in football at this level. You have to remind players about what their responsibilities and duties are, we're prepared to do that.
"If the players can take on board everything we told them last year we'll be alright this year."
