Scott became permanent Brentford manager in January 2008
Brentford manager Andy Scott has paid tribute to the nine players released from his championship-winning squad.
"I thank them for the part they played in achieving promotion," he said.
Adam Newton, John Halls, Glenn Poole, Gary Smith, Brett Johnson, Seb Brown, Craig Pead, Darren Powell and Craig Dobson are all leaving Griffin Park.
Scott has offered new contracts to Mark Phillips, Kevin O'Connor, Simon Brown, David Hunt and Alan Bennett and an improved and extended deal to Sam Wood.
He has also placed Marvin Williams on the transfer list and offered first professional deals to Fraser Franks and Lewis Ferrell.
"In making Marvin available for transfer, this decision was agreed mutually as his first team chances had been somewhat limited," Scott told the club's official website.
O'Connor is the Bees' longest-serving player and has just completed his testimonial season while Bennett, who was on a season-long loan deal from Reading, is a free agent after being released by the Berkshire club.
