Brentford have secured the services of on-loan Reading centre-back Alan Bennett until the end of the season.
Bennett's new deal will run until 4 May or until the end of the League Two play-offs, should Brentford reach them.
The 27-year-old first joined the Bees on loan in March last season and made 11 appearances for the club.
The Republic of Ireland international has played another 27 times for the Bees, who are second in the table, and helped them keep 11 clean sheets.
His original loan spell ran out at the turn of the year and was extended to 29 January.
