Brentford boss Terry Butcher has boosted his squad for the forthcoming season with the loan signing of Charlton left-back Grant Basey. The teenager joins for an initial month-long spell after impressing Butcher in training with the Bees and is their seventh signing this summer.
Meanwhile defender Craig Pead, one of the other new arrivals, will be out for up to eight weeks.
He damaged ankle ligaments in Tuesday's friendly defeat at Hampton & Richmond.
