Connell and Pead have both moved to Griffin Park |
Brentford have signed striker Alan Connell and defender Craig Pead. The pair have joined the Bees on free transfers and signed two-year deals at Griffin Park.
Pead, 25, moves to Brentford after leaving League Two champions Walsall at the end of last season following an earlier spell at Coventry City.
Meanwhile, ex-Bournemouth and Torquay striker Connell, 24, rejected a new deal from Hereford United after scoring 10 times for the Bulls last season.
"I had a good year at Hereford, but I wanted to get back to London as it's where I'm from," Enfield-born Connell told the Bees' website.
"But the opportunity of working for Terry and Andy (Scott, assistant boss) was the main factor in why I chose to move."
Brentford boss Terry Butcher has already signed goalkeeper Simon Brown from Hibernian, midfielder Glenn Poole from Grays and defender John Mackie from Leyton Orient.
