Thorpe left Torquay by mutual consent last week |
Lee Thorpe has signed a two-year deal with Brentford after leaving Torquay by mutual consent last week. The experienced 31-year-old striker scored eight league goals in 39 appearances for the Gulls.
"It was hard to refuse joining a side like Brentford, I have been really impressed with the set-up here," Thorpe told the club's website.
"It's very physical in League Two, hopefully I can use my experience to help us bounce straight back up."
Thorpe has played 324 leagues game and scored 88 goals in spells with Lincoln City, Leyton Orient, Grimsby, Bristol Rovers, Peterborough, Swansea and Bangor City.
He joins fellow new signings John Mackie, Glenn Poole, Simon Brown, Alan Connell and Craig Pead at Griffin Park.
