Torquay United have signed Hereford United striker Tim Sills. Sills, 27, still had a year of his contract to run with Hereford but has been allowed to join the Gulls on a two-year deal.
He had been linked with a move to both Rushden and former club Aldershot but opted to join Torquay.
Meanwhile, the Gulls have allowed striker Lee Thorpe to leave with the 31-year-old having the remainder of his contract terminated by mutual consent.
