Manager Eddie Howe has pledged his future to Bournemouth after signing a one-year contract extension.

The Cherries boss and assistant Jason Tindall have penned new deals that will keep them at Dean Court for the next three years.

Howe told BBC Radio Solent: "We see our future here. We're looking forward to continued success together."

The former Cherries team-mates steered Bournemouth to promotion to League One in their first full season.

Howe added: "It gives us a little more stability and enables us to really plan long term and hopefully get everything right behind the scenes at the club."

Bournemouth achieved promotion under Howe despite the handicap of a long-standing transfer embargo.

We would like to keep everyone together and have a real crack at what is a tough league

The last permanent signing made by the club was in January 2009 because of financial problems.

But the embargo was lifted in March this year - although the Football League still has to approve every transfer - and Howe is poised to secure a number of new signings.

"It's absolutely key that we build on last season," he said. "The players were absolutely magnificent and we would like to keep everyone together and have a real crack at what is a tough league."

Howe has confirmed talks are "ongoing" with utility man Shaun Cooper regarding a new contract.

Veteran striker Steve Fletcher will decide his future when he returns from holiday.

Defender Warren Cummings must also decide whether to accept a one-year option.
