Howe hopeful over players' wages

Howe has praised the players for their patience in difficult times

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says he is hopeful his players will be paid their full February salaries very soon.

The squad have been paid only 40% of last month's wages so far, as the club waits to see if a new consortium will complete a takeover.

Adam Murry's consortium is still trying to seal a deal for the club.

"I would like it sorted as soon as possible, because the longer it drags on the more potential problems arise," Howe told BBC Radio Solent.

"We all have bills to pay and we need to address the situation as soon as we can.

"The players haven't had any definite answers as to when the situation will change so until then, this will remain the position.

"The players have been brilliant though. They've not talked a lot about it, but they want to get paid of course. Hopefully they will do soon."
