Jimmy Quinn needs the Cherries fans to get behind their team
Bournemouth boss Jimmy Quinn has issued a plea to fans to get behind his team ahead of Saturday's FA Cup second round meeting with non-league Blyth Spartans.
Quinn's players received an adverse crowd reaction again following Tuesday night's goalless draw with Morecambe.
And Quinn pleaded to the fans: "Please don't give Blyth a lift.
"I know it's difficult but we're really working hard. We need to make Dean Court as loud and as intimidating as we can," he told BBC Radio Solent.
"We don't want to have a game where we're giving the opposition a lift.
"The fans were having a bit of a moan and they've got every right if they don't see shots at goal. But we've got to be better than that."
Several Bournemouth players reacted angrily to a section of their travelling fans who began chanting at them after the 3-0 defeat at Accrington 10 days before.

At the time Quinn said he was not happy that his players had reacted and that they had no right to do that.
But, when asked on Tuesday night if his players were feeling the pressure of the crowd getting on their backs, Quinn replied: "We've got a few young players, Joel Ward for example.
"He has a massive heart and he'll battle away for you.
"He made one or two decisions and played the wrong ball and it went through to their keeper. That will affect him because of his age."
Saturday's game has been chosen for live television coverage and is due to kick off at 1730 GMT.
