Bournemouth boss Jimmy Quinn has set a a target date of mid-November to erase the 17-point deficit handed to them over their exit from administration.

The Cherries, handed the deduction by the Football League, have reached minus four points after playing 12 games.

"If we can do that then it will give everyone a lift at the club," Quinn told BBC Radio Solent.

"If we can get into the plus side by then, I believe we'll pull clear of that mini-league at the bottom."

Luton began the season with a 30-point deficit and have reached minus 17 - while Rotherham, who were deducted 17 points like the Cherries, have won six of their first 12 games and have reached plus five points.

Between now and mid-November, Quinn's side face league games against Lincoln (25 October), Luton (28 October), Chesterfield (1 November) and Accrington (15 November).
