Quinn thinks a restructure would help clubs affected in the credit crunch
Bournemouth manager Jimmy Quinn has called on football authorities to consider a regional restructure of Leagues One and Two.
The Cherries boss believes the move would help both clubs and fans alike.
Quinn told BBC Radio Solent: "It makes sense from a financial point of view, it's very expensive with hotels and travel, especially for midweek games."
If adopted, the Cherries would nearly halve the miles they currently travel in the league from 7,000 to 4,300.
Quinn continued: "On the other hand it's nice to play different teams from different regions, but from a financial point of view it makes sense certainly.
"If you've got midweek games and fans coming in late from work, they might be able to get to games [if it was regionalised]."
BBC Radio Solent will be debating a regional restructure in Saturday's (11 October) Sports show from 1400 BST. Get involved with your views, call 0845 3030961 or text 07786 200961.
