A rival bid to takeover Bournemouth has been put to the club's administrators.

The unattributed offer was submitted on Monday but is less lucrative than the bid of chairman Jeff Mostyn, who was granted exclusivity on any deal.

Administrator Gerald Krasner told BBC Radio Solent: "I have said you can make an offer, I'll consider it and I'll let you know the answer.

"And the answer will be that if Jeff (Mostyn) comes up with the money... then Jeff's bid will be successful"

He added: "I don't at this stage intend giving their names. They have certain issues that they have made plain to me."

Mostyn is still working to finalise his takeover.
