Bradbury is Southend's leading scorer so far this season |
Bournemouth have signed striker Lee Bradbury on loan from League One rivals Southend until 2 January. The 32-year-old, who hails from the Isle of Wight, recently scored a hat-trick for the Shrimpers in their 4-1 Carling Cup win over Cheltenham.
However, the Cherries are waiting to discover if he will be available for Saturday's game at Doncaster.
Southend assistant boss Paul Brush said that Bradbury was keen to move nearer to his home on the south coast.
"Lee had been getting frustrated with the traffic - getting to training in Southend every day had been a problem," he told the Shrimpers' website.

"We agreed with Lee in May that for the benefit of his freshness at training and being around his family, a move at this stage of his career would be of great benefit to him. "Although we were reluctant, we felt it was fair for Lee to make the final decision, and he was desperately keen to go to Bournemouth."
Bradbury has scored nine goals in 52 senior appearances since joining Southend from Oxford in January 2006.
He previously worked with Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond when Bond was on the coaching staff at Portsmouth - and has made 425 league and cup appearances, scoring 93 goals, in a career spanning 10 clubs.
Apart from two spells with Portsmouth, he has also played for Exeter, Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday, Derby, Walsall and Oxford before joining Southend.
