Southend becomes Bradbury's 11th club of his career |
Southend strengthened their squad just before the transfer window closed with the capture of Oxford United striker Lee Bradbury on a free transfer. Bradbury, 30, has penned a four-month deal at Roots Hall following a contractual dispute at Oxford.
Southend boss Steve Tilson turned to Bradbury after failing with a bid for Gillingham striker Darren Byfield.
Bradbury joined Oxford in June, 2004, scoring nine times in 57 league starts, some of which were made in midfield.
Southend originally announced the deal as a loan signing - but Bradbury's Oxford contract was terminated after agreeing a compensation package, and he has signed for the Shrimpers until 31 May.
