Ian Holloway has guided his Seasiders to fifth in the Championship table
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has called on his players to produce a more attractive style of football.
Despite overseeing Saturday's 4-1 win over Scunthorpe United, Holloway was concerned with what he regards as negative tactics.
"We're not a bad side but we've got to realise when to pass and when to move," Holloway told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"My centre-halves had it too much and that isn't football. That's boring and that's going to send me home."
Blackpool's win lifted them back into the Championship top six.
But, with just three points separating third and 12th, Holloway is aware that his side need to adapt their game, depending on the strength of the opposition.
"We need to work through teams," he said. "And, if they've got a different shape then we need to sort it out.
"We also need to get the ball up front and get a bit of excitement going.
"You have to give other teams some credit sometimes. They did a good job of getting in front of us, almost like a smash and grab, and we only got going in the last 25 minutes."
After going behind to Scunthorpe on 51 minutes, Blackpool turned the game just before the hour, scoring three times in 11 minutes before adding a last-minute fourth.
