Hendrie has one England cap, against Czech Republic in 1999
Blackpool's on-loan midfielder Lee Hendrie believes he can still play in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old, on loan from Sheffield United, admits his confidence has been rocked by a lack of football.
He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It has dented me to be honest and that's down to not playing games but that's a point I want to prove to people.
"I know I still have the ability to keep going. I still think I could play in the Premier League, definitely."
The 31-year-old, whose loan deal at Bloomfield Road ends in January, had made just three appearances this season for the Blades and made his Blackpool debut against Preston just hours after joining the club.
"I came up and got straight into the changing rooms. I didn't know any of the lads, I was a bit nervous when I was driving to the ground to be honest."
Hendrie will be in the Blackpool squad who travel to Wolves on Saturday but knows he may have to settle for a place on the bench again.
"My fitness levels are not the best.
People forget that you are about, people think 'is he still playing?' or 'what's his attitude?' and I haven't got anything to prove to anyone

"I have always kept myself fit but going into a match situation it's a lot different."
The former Aston Villa and England player believes he still has a lot to offer football and thinks he can play still at the highest level.
"I think I could - this league [compared] to the Premier League is completely different but I have always been a footballer and not a scrapper on the pitch.
