Hendrie was capped by England against the Czech Republic in 1999.

Sheffield United midfielder Lee Hendrie has joined Blackpool on loan until January, though the Blades can recall him after 28 days if necessary.

The 31-year-old played with Blackpool boss Simon Grayson during their time together at Aston Villa in the 1990s.

Hendrie, who has one England cap, joined the Blades in 2007 after making 251 league appearances for Villa and scoring 27 times.

In the last two years he has also spent time on loan at Stoke and Leicester.
