Rachubka has played for England at under-16, 18 and 20 level
Blackpool goalkeeper Paul Rachubka says he has enquired about the possibility of playing international football for the United States.
The 27-year-old, who was born in California, moved to England at the age of seven.
"I've asked a number of people who I'm actually qualified to play for," Rachubka told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"It'll be one of those if I'm doing really well the question will be answered for me."
Rachubka initially joined Blackpool on loan from Huddersfield in January 2007.
After returning to his parent club, the move was made permanent in June the same year, and he has since gone on to make around 70 appearances at Bloomfield Road.
He admits retaining the number one jersey at Blackpool is still his top priority.
"You get players who do well and they get rewarded by getting called up to the squad.
"What's important to me is to keep doing well at Blackpool.
"To be doing it week in, week out, in the Championship is a great way for me to look at how well I'm doing.
"I feel like I've always played and trained hard, but to go and prove what I can do and express the way I play by being out there on the pitch has been great for me."
