Man Utd's Rachubka joins Antwerp

Rachubka is taking advantage of Antwerp link
Manchester United's rookie goalkeeper Paul Rachubka is on his way to Belgium as the latest player to make use of the club's link with Royal Antwerp.

The American born youngster flew out today for a three-month loan spell with the Belgium First Division side.

Rachubka who made his Premiership debut in the 2-0 win over Leicester at Old Trafford in March, follows in the footsteps of Luke Chadwick, Ronnie Wallwork and John O'Shea who played in Belgium before making their senior breakthrough.

He has been allowed to gain valuable first-team experience after Roy Carroll's arrival from Wigan provided Sir Alex Ferguson - who also has Raimond van der Gouw available - with adequate cover for Fabian Barthez.
