Rovers veteran Michel Salgado won four Spanish titles with Real Madrid
Blackburn Rovers right-back Michel Salgado is tempted to extend his stay at Ewood Park beyond the season's end.
"Maybe we have to talk about conditions," Salgado told BBC Radio Lancashire. "That's another thing.
"But I'm really happy here at Blackburn with the fans, the respect they have for me and, to be honest, maybe there's a big chance to sign for another year."
The 35-year-old former Spanish international has six months to run on his current deal.
Salgado, who won more than 50 caps for Spain during a decade with Real Madrid, joined Rovers in the summer of 2009 following his release from the Bernabeu, where he won four La Liga titles and two Champions League winners' medals.
"In my first four years at Real Madrid I used to play 65 to 70 games per season," he said.
"But it's not easy to come here at my age, 35, and play all the games with the demands of the Premier League.
"It's really physical especially in my position, right-back. So I'm really happy.
"I'm feeling really well and fit. I still have a motivation when I get up every morning to keep going after 18 years, and to win everything."
