Agustien is hoping to clinch a permanent move to St Andrew's
Birmingham City midfielder Kemy Agustien believes he has now adjusted to life in the Championship.
The 22-year-old Dutchman has shown fleeting glimpses of his potential in his first 15 appearances since arriving on loan from AZ Alkmaar.
"I like it here and I think I'm starting to get used to it," Agustien told BBC WM.
"I want to stay and get promotion with Birmingham, and I hope they're going to take the option on my contract."
He added: "I'm still critical about myself; I know there's a lot more to come. The squad are trying to help me."
Birmingham can sign Agustien on a permanent deal at the end of the season, a prospect he says his family has also warmed to after spending the last five months in the city.
"My family's starting to settle in, my baby's going to nursery, so I'm happy for them also. I have my job here, they have only me," he said.
Amazing, crazy games - I love to play derbies. With AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, I know how derbies can be crazy
Kemy Agustien on the Wolves game
Agustien has lost his regular starting place since the arrival of Nigel Quashie on loan from West Ham, but he is in the squad for the top-of-the-table clash with Wolves at Molineux, and says he would relish the derby atmosphere.
"Amazing, crazy games - I love to play derbies. With AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, I know how derbies can be crazy," he said.
"For everybody it's the most important game of the season. They are still six points ahead and we have to win the game.
"It's going to be a great game and I want to be part of it."
