Barnsley have handed a trial to former Reds striker Michael Boulding.

The 34-year-old spent two years at Oakwell between 2004 and 2006, scoring 10 goals in 27 starts, and has recently been released by Bradford City.

Reds manager Mark Robins told the club website: "I know Michael and he is a player I tried to sign at Rotherham and he deserves this.

"We are still working hard and pursuing other targets and hopefully more things will start to come together soon."
