Barnsley have signed midfielder Adam Hammill from Liverpool on a three-year deal for an undisclosed six-figure fee.
The 21-year-old impressed manager Simon Davey while on loan at Oakwell last season, where he made 14 appearances and scored one goal.
"Adam is a fantastic prospect and one we are delighted to bring to Oakwell on a permanent basis," Davey told the club's website.
"He is young, talented, enthusiastic and a great addition to our squad."
Hammill progressed as a trainee at Liverpool's academy, before spending time on loan at various clubs including Southampton, Blackpool and Dunfermline.
