Barnsley have completed the signing of goalkeeper David Preece.
The 32-year-old finalised a one-year contract at Oakwell, with the option of a further year on the club's pre-season trip to Spain.
Preece started his career with his hometown club Sunderland in 1994 and went on to play for Darlington and Danish side OB.
He is expected to be understudy to Luke Steele in the Championship following Heinz Muller's return to Germany.
