Davey is already planning for next season at Oakwell
Barnsley manager Simon Davey is confident he will remain in charge at Oakwell next season.
The club's owner Patrick Cryne told BBC Radio Sheffield last week that Davey had to make a "persuasive case" for being allowed to stay in the role.
But Davey said: "I've not had any sort of feedback to suggest I'm not going to be here after the summer.
"Patrick Cryne and I meet every week and we've spoken about the season and discussed the future."
Barnsley won at Plymouth in their final game of the season to escape relegation from the Championship for a third successive year and Davey believes he still has the backing of his players.
"I'm manager of this football club and will be busy planning and preparing us for next season," he added.
"The players have always been behind me and when I was getting stick last season never once did any of them question my ability."
