Akurang has scored three goals for Barnet this season
Barnet forward Cliff Akurang will be out of action for up to six weeks after learning he has a fractured foot.
The 27-year-old only discovered his injury while undergoing a check-up for a possible chest problem.
He was X-rayed after suffering from shortness of breath during training but was found to be all-clear.
Akurang decided to get his foot examined while he was receiving medical attention, and it was then that doctors found a small fracture in his foot.
Barnet manager Paul Fairclough revealed the news on Monday night after he received a report from the club doctor.
Akurang is expected to return to action in late November or early December.
Meanwhile, Barnet have made 19-year-old winger Kieron St Aimie available for transfer or loan, although he would not be able to leave permanently until the transfer window reopens in January.
