Barnet assistant manager Ian Hendon will be in plaster for ten days following a serious operation on his left ankle.

The 36-year-old picked up the injury in a training ground clash with fomrer player Stephane Seanla.

Hendon, who had a three hour operation, told the club's website: "I thought it was a minor operation but it was far more serious than I anticipated."

The former Bees defender is set to see his specialist again next week.
