Barnet assistant manager and defender Ian Hendon will undergo surgery on his left ankle on Thursday.
The 36-year-old sustained the injury in a training ground clash with former player Stephane Seanla.
Hendon signed a new two-year contract as assistant manager to Paul Fairclough in May.
The one-time Bees captain was first brought to Underhill on loan by former manager Peter Shreeves, his mentor at both Tottenham and Sheffield Wednesday.
Hendon, a former England Under-21 player, officially retired in 2007 but made three first-team appearances for the side last season and was used as a substitute twice.
