Promoted Arbroath have bolstered their side for next season's Second Division campaign by signing Forfar Athletic midfielder and captain John Fraser.

It is a double blow for new Forfar boss Dick Campbell, with defender John Ovenstone moving to Stenhousemuir.

The 30-year-old Fraser spent a season at Station Park after joining from Stirling Albion.

He had previously been with Dunfermline Athletic, Ross County, Clyde and Stranraer.

There was some good news for Campbell, with full-back Elliot Smith and midfielder Sean Kilgannon signing new one-year contracts.
