Ten-man Arbroath held on for an aggregate win over Stranraer to win promotion to Division Two despite losing by a goal at Stair Park.
Arbroath's hopes were hampered by the red card shown to defender Craig Tully for a rash challenge after 58 minutes.
Gregory Tade gave Stranraer victory on the day, drilling the ball home from 12 yards five minutes later.
But Stranraer, who had finished second top and 13 points ahead of Arbroath, could not force an equaliser.
The Stair Park outfit could, however, still win promotion should Gretna go out of business after their relegation from the Scottish Premier League.
