Aldershot Town midfielder Luke Guttridge says they must put the disappointment of Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Northampton behind them.
The Shots could not find an equaliser after conceding in the first minute.
The 29-year-old told BBC Surrey: "We need to be more positive and be on the front foot from the start.
"We've got another 40-odd games to put it right. We're looking to bounce back with a good performance and three points against Torquay."
Aldershot welcome the Gulls to the EBB Stadium on Tuesday.
"I think it will be a tricky game," Guttridge added. "They've got goals in their team.
"But they will come here and look to win the game, which will suit us."
