Aldershot Town can make play-offs, says Alex Rodman

Aldershot Town

New Aldershot Town signing Alex Rodman is targeting the League Two play-off places after joining the Shots from Blue Square Bet Premier side Tamworth.

The 23-year-old former Lambs winger has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

He told BBC Surrey: "I've got a great feeling from the club in the couple of days I've been here.

"[Manager] Dean Holdsworth is very ambitious, our aim has got to be for the play-offs this year - we're right in the mix so we've got to push on."

Rodman says he cannot wait to start playing for Holdsworth, who has taken seven points from his first three matches in charge at the EBB Stadium.

"I know Danny Rose very well at Newport County and he couldn't speak highly enough of his training sessions and the ethos he gets at the club," he continued.

"That's the right mix to have. It's obviously worked in the short space of time he's been here."

The Shots currently lie six points off the play-off places.
