Aldershot will make a financial loss, says Peter Duffy
Peter Duffy was appointed chief executive by Aldershot in April 2010
Aldershot Town chief executive Peter Duffy expects the club to make a loss in this financial year.
"I think we will experience a loss," said Duffy, speaking at a fans' forum at the club on Thursday, broadcast by BBC Surrey.
"The club is viable. We're not going to bust the bank. We've got to focus now on driving the revenue up.
"The disappointing part is a lower than average attendance compared to last year. Income is down on that side."
He added: "We're trying to make up for shortfalls through other revenue streams.
"We're trying to be self-sufficient and generate revenue through our own activities."
Meanwhile, new Shots manager Dean Holdsworth has confirmed that he is looking at the contract situations of players at the club, including offering winger Jermaine McGlashan a new deal
"Peter and I have discussed the squad size and the balance sheets," Holdsworth said.
"Obviously, Jermaine is one player we want. We'll have a discussion next week."
