Dillon will put contract talks with players on hold for now
Aldershot boss Kevin Dillon says the club will not discuss new contracts with players until they know what division they will be in next season.
Dillon told BBC Surrey: "It's very difficult to hand out contracts to all the players at the moment.
"We don't know where we'll be at the end of the season. Everybody's got to sit tight.
"We could be in League One and the players can consider getting better contracts or moving to better clubs."
Dillon is also concerned about his players being approached by clubs ahead of the transfer window.
And he confirmed that he has received phone calls regarding several of his squad ahead of 1 January.
"I get the feeling from a couple of conversations with agents, that the interested managers have been a little bit too busy," Dillon said.
"It's something I wouldn't do and it just unrests the players."
"If I get a call about a player, and I've said 'no he's not for sale', then that's the end of it as far as I'm concerned. I'm the same the other way.
"It gives them a little bit to think about rather than the priorities of the games coming up," Dillon added.
"It's not that the players are disappointed or upset about what's happening at the club, it's that they've been approached by agents and the agents are actually trying to get them to move.
"I might be wrong, but I get the feeling I'm right, certainly from the calls I've had."
