Aldershot defender Chris Blackburn says that things are slowly but surely improving under manager Kevin Dillon.

The Shots are unbeaten under Dillon, who has moved quickly to tighten discipline and introduced a rule that prevents defenders celebrating goals.

Blackburn, who obeyed orders in Tuesday's win at Dagenham & Redbridge, told BBC Surrey: "It's interesting, I've never done that sort of thing.

"You do keep your focus a lot more when you're not celebrating."

He added: "I think everything's really gradual.

"He hasn't needed to change a great deal because nothing was broken but his management has slowly taken its toll on the boys and we're reaping the benefits from it.

"We're scoring goals, we're hopefully keeping clean sheets, we're conceding a lot less goals so, yeah, it's going quite well."
