Aldershot striker Marvin Morgan believes his side's 5-2 win at Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night shows they have the right promotion credentials.
The 26-year-old netted his ninth of the season to help lift the Shots to seventh place in League Two.
Morgan told BBC Surrey: "This is what it's all about. We want to be up there.
"We've made a statement that we're challenging. We went through a blip last month and now we're looking stronger than ever."
And Morgan believed a large scoreline away from home was long overdue.

"We've been threatening to do it to a few teams away from home," he said. "It's just that final ball. But today everything just worked.
"Previous to the Northampton game, I didn't score for a month.
"It was a bit frustrating but I'm happy to score today, happy to score last week as well. Hopefully I can keep it going."
